Description: Created to inspire-beginners and more advanced needleworkers alike, this gown will tempt the most discerning connoisseur of the needle arts. The elegant tone-on-tone smocking on the front skirt is cleverly divided by four rows of lace insertion which extend for the length of the skirt. The centre three fabric panels above the lace hem feature exquisite, circular medallions combining shadow work, chain stitch, detached chain daisies and beading. The front and back yokes are also decorated with similar embroidery. The short puffed sleeves are smocked and trimmed with matching lace. A complementary petticoat completes the heirloom gown.
